ANGELA

She's infected. She's damaged. Or is that what you find so attractive about her? Is that why people choose her? The “little girl lost” scenario? I'd really like to know and you're the only one I've managed to corner long enough to tell me so you've gotta help me out with this one.
He meant something to me. Brad. And I thought I meant something to him but apparently I was mistaken because when he left town he was holding Emma's hand, not mine.
I'm just not tortured enough, is that it? People don't find normality exciting? And you. You're taking this to a whole new level for me. Are you taking up the cause of someone who happens to be sick or are you drawn to her because she’s sick?
Should I lame myself? I mean, if I'd known you wanted a wounded bird, someone less capable, more helpless, a thing to fix instead of a person, I'd have gotten radiation poisoning or syphillis, started dredging up repressed memories of incest. I'm not going to apologize for being well-adjusted.
Or does it need to be the same thing, what your brother had? Do you need to put yourself through the whole thing all over again just to prove you're alive? Go ahead. Adopt her brother as your new best friend. Stand by her sick bed. It's not going to bring Joshua back.
