Ensemble WOMAN appears as PHYLLIS.

Lights shift.

PHYLLIS

I remember you.

As DAVID turns to engage PHYLLIS in conversation, lights dim on DAD and DOROTHY.

They work together to get him in bed as the others speak in the foreground.

DAVID

(to audience)

First Christmas in the nursing home.
Dad may not be able to get to the memory group anymore. But they can still come visit him.

PHYLLIS

Youre Ralphs son.

DAVID

PHYLLIS

Phyllis, I run the memory group your father was part of.

DAVID

PHYLLIS

So, he still remembers who you are?

DAVID

(to audience)

Now, if Id been thinking, I would have said "

(to PHYLLLIS)
